“What’s Your Structure?” The business mentor to the rescue
I got that question on a phone call that made me think how fast I needed to get into mentoring others and understanding the color personality system.
A prospect asked me straight up: “What is your structure? How do you do things in your business?”
You can imagine how I felt. At the time I was just starting to build this out. I answered the best I could. And guess what happened? — I was a rookie. The PBS System was still new to me. I went with my gut and took the punch. It wasn’t that bad.

The question “What’s Your Structure?” Led me to a Mindset Shift
That question still lives in my head — because the answer I give now is completely different. This is the hope anyone might be looking for. I answer different Not because the business changed. But because I changed.
I was listening to Tony Robbins recently. I used to listen to him years ago, then stopped. Coming back to him now, I can see something I didn’t see before. His superpower!
Tony is a Yellow personality. Before I tell you about this, let me ask you something. Have you heard about this unfair advantage thing? That one thing people have that helps them succeed at whatever they do?
Anyway, let me explain Tony is a nurturer. He genuinely cares about people — you can feel it in every word he says. That’s not a tactic. That’s who he is. And your probably thinking; I know right? That’s his unfair advantage. We’ll come back to that.
Recently I was listening to him and he said something that hit me hard: “State of Mind is everything“. He’s talking about having the right mindset shift for those who are not there yet. What does that mean?
Your state of mind should be your driving force, if you want to win. This is the first thing you bring to every decision, every action, every conversation. Before the strategy. Before the system. Before anything technical. Meaning, Come ready to win.
I’ve watched enough people start a business and quit, and I know for sure many are going the same path. But, I can tell you with full confidence: they didn’t quit because the business didn’t work. They quit because their state of mind wasn’t there to make it work.
That’s why you and I are still here, we know we’re here for the long term.
Colors Changed How I See Everything
Here’s my superpower: Listen, I’m just a human like you but I’ve noticed this superpower It’s not for everyone. Please don’t take this lightly because no one is going to judge you for knowing what I know. I understand people through a Color personality system.
When I watch Tony Robbins speak, I’m not just listening to the words. I’m watching how he moves, how he cares, how he responds. Just like a behavior expert, I’m watching his Yellow personality. Within this system, It all lines up.
When I’m on a call with a prospect, I’m listening for cues. Green like me — detail-focused, quiet, thoughtful. Red — direct, fast, results-driven. Blue — relationship-first, loyal, slow to trust. Yellow — open, warm, needs to feel the community.

Coming From Need Versus Coming From Abundance
I remember a day when I was desperate for a job.
Instead of trusting God and being patient, I went with the first option I felt more comfortable . I was coming from a place of need — and you always get less when you operate from that place.
The same thing happens in business.
You want money. You need money. You’re watching your competition. You’re thinking — if I could just sign that one superstar, everything would change.
I used to think like that too, but then came the mindset shift.
And here’s what I started asking myself instead: Why am I trying to find a superstar when I could become one?
That shift — right there — is everything.
If you’re not showing up as the superstar, you won’t attract the superstar. It’s not a harsh truth. It’s just how it works. And the good news is that becoming that person is a process, and it’s a process you don’t have to go through alone.
What “Structure” Actually Means
So when someone asks me, “What’s your structure?” — here’s what I know now:
The technical side is secondary.
Yes, I have strategies. Yes, I have systems. Yes, I know the steps. That’s all in place.
But the real structure — the thing that holds everything together — is this:
I help entrepreneurs become mentors.
I get up every morning thinking: what can I share today that will help someone understand where they are and where they could be? A blog post. A video. A conversation. Something that plants a seed.
Not to recruit. Not to push anyone. But to serve.
Because here’s what I’ve learned about this industry: recruiting, recruiting, and more recruiting — it doesn’t work. You burn yourself out chasing people. You feel like you always need that one person to join your team to feel okay.
When was the last time you had peace in your business?
That peace comes when you stop thinking about what you need and start thinking about who you can help.
That’s the shift from scarcity to abundance. And it changes everything — your energy, your conversations, your results.
You Need a Mentor. Not Just a System.
