What my 10 year education about personal branding taught me was: You need to create a personal brand that attracts the right people. And this comes with integrity.
1. You need to be Relatable
It’s really difficult to open up and say the things that happen to me when I quit 10 years ago. I hope my story inspires you to know that there are many other people going through harsh times. If anyone understands what you are going through, It’s me, Carlos Sarzeno.
2. Leading with Value
They will always say: You are giving me Your time, We will give You Value in exchange for your time. Plus they never asked for money, of course they were business people. Because of their value given to me, I tell others, you need to brand yourself. Also I still talk about them many years later. That is mind blowing.
3. True Orientation as a Mentor
They wake up asking What can I do for them? not What can I get from them? This changes everything about how you show up, what you create, and who’s attracted to you. I now understand why they did it, and why it worked for them.
4. Integrity is not a Marketing Strategy
I was watching Gary Vee on a YouTube video today, and he was referring this very same think. How to build your brand, he said You are who you are, whether people are watching or not. The thing about Marketing is people come from scarcity, greed and ego, When you’re desperate, you can’t think and that hurts your brand.
5. The Patience Process
If I was able to wait 10 years or more, just learning and growing. Pick something and stick with it, that’s how this Industry works. Build the foundation that will support all of your future success. Most people want the quick sale, you and I build for the long run. Keep it up and brand yourself.
